1. Purpose
Bitkosh Technologies Private Limited is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its operations while using people, technology, energy and materials responsibly. This Environmental Sustainability and Resource Management (ESRM) Policy establishes the principles and operating controls we use to make practical, measurable improvements.
2. Scope
This policy applies to Bitkosh employees, interns, contractors, consultants, managed facilities, company-provided equipment, cloud and digital services, procurement activities, and suppliers acting on our behalf. Project-specific customer requirements continue to apply where they are stricter than this policy.
3. Our commitments
- Comply with applicable environmental, waste, energy and workplace requirements in the locations where we operate.
- Prefer prevention, reuse, repair and efficient digital delivery before replacement or disposal.
- Use risk-based objectives and evidence rather than unsupported environmental claims.
- Work with suppliers and customers to identify practical opportunities to reduce resource consumption.
4. Energy and digital resources
We seek to reduce avoidable energy use through efficient equipment, power-management settings, responsible meeting practices and right-sized computing resources. Engineering teams are encouraged to consider workload efficiency, storage retention, data transfer and observability costs when designing and operating cloud systems. Production decisions remain subject to security, availability, privacy and customer requirements.
5. Equipment and material lifecycle
Company equipment is inventoried and maintained for its useful life. Where practical, devices are repaired, redeployed or securely refurbished before recycling. End-of-life hardware and electronic waste must be handled through authorized channels, with data sanitization completed before reuse, return or disposal.
6. Responsible procurement and suppliers
Procurement decisions consider total cost of ownership, durability, repairability, energy use, packaging, service life and supplier practices alongside quality, security and commercial requirements. Material suppliers may be asked to provide relevant environmental information, legal compliance evidence and disposal or recycling arrangements.
7. Travel, facilities and workplace practices
- Use remote collaboration where it is effective and does not compromise delivery, security or customer obligations.
- Prefer digital records and right-sized printing; avoid unnecessary single-use materials.
- Support responsible use of electricity, water, cooling and shared workplace resources.
- Follow local waste segregation, emergency and facility-management instructions.
8. Measurement and improvement
Operations and Compliance maintain an improvement register covering material observations, objectives, owners, due dates and evidence. Where data is available, we may track energy or equipment indicators, reuse and recycling actions, supplier evidence, and completed improvement activities. Results are reviewed periodically and used to set realistic next actions.
9. Roles and responsibilities
Leadership provides direction and resources. Operations and Compliance maintain this policy, coordinate reviews and track actions. Procurement and technology owners apply the relevant controls to purchasing and services. Every team member is responsible for using resources carefully, reporting material issues and following approved procedures.
10. Questions and reporting
Questions, improvement suggestions or suspected breaches of this policy should be raised with Operations & Compliance or through our contact page. Reports are reviewed fairly and handled without retaliation for good-faith reporting.
